Neohori or Nechori located 9 km south of the town of Chios (Hora called by locals) and is among the first Mastihohoria encountered when leaving the city. According to tradition, the original location of the settlement was on the beach of Agia Fotini (St. Fire ), in Kamari which was abandoned after raids. Halkios is the center of the municipality Kampochora after the combination of the seven villages. Located 8.5 km from the town of Chios. The Halkios always characterized as a large village with a rich agricultural production of cereal crops, vegetable products, citrus fruits, olive oil, almonds and beans.
The name probably derives from the characteristic of ‘True Port’ given to this point by old travelers. It is the birthplace of Andreas Singros and the house of his Family still exists. It is also the birthplace of Agios Nektarios,the Arch bishop of Pentapolis. Lithi is known as a fishing village.The sunset is unique and unforgettable.
